100 Kids That Cook

100 Kids that cook is a fundraising event that was founded by the parents, grandparents, great- grandparents, aunts and uncle of the students that attended WatchCare Academy.

WatchCare was a small Black owned private school located in north east Denver.

WatchCare was founded and operated by Janie Taylor Perry.  Ms Perry was a long time resident of Denver and a graduate of Manual High School

The fundraising event was started to raise money to save the school.   Unfortunately we were unable to raise enough money to open for the 2016-2017 school year.

The closing of the school was devastating to all of us; as a result we did not have the 100 Kids That Cook cook off for the 2017 year.

We will have the event for the 2018 school year and have found another school that we will be able to assist.

Education is so important because the children are our future.   We must provide them with a great education at the roots.

Please come back to our site for updates.   As we move forward we will post announcements on this site.
